Yesterday ,30 April, is a memorial day when Adolf Hitler committed suicide in 1945 in his bunker in Berlin. Hitler’s death was just before Soviet's red army attacked it .Hitler wanted to avoid the destiny to become prisoner of the allied nations, especially of Stalin. Red army officials searched Hitler's dead body but it was reported that they couldn't find out his corpse nor any borns nor remains. But in fact , according to documentary programs on history, Stalin was informed that Hitler committed suicide after red army confiscated Hitler's remains and put them under scientific scrutiniy in Moscow. Stalin kept the fact secret in order to get the best position in the allied nations which tried hard to get better position for the post WWⅡ era.
When I was child in Japan, we didn't know that Hitler's remains were collected. So in the 1970s, I read many articles that Hitler is in UFO in south America or something like that. When we look films on Hitler’s final days, after Hitler committed suicide, his subordinates put gasolin on him and lit a fire. Later the charred corpose of Hitler was put in a bag and soldiers conveyd it anywhere far away. So red army officers perhaps followed where it was buried after having questionned Nazi soldiers and officials. If Hitler had been still alive after 30 April at anywhere else, Stalin would have had an excuse that soviets needed contilual stationing and watching of ex-Nazi soldiers and officials even post war era in Germany and east Europe.
What we need to know is that it was mainly Soviet's Red army's struggle which defeated Nazis and liberated the world. But allied nations , especially the United States produced a lot of films including those depicting D-Day and spreaded propaganda that allied nations liberated the world from Nazis. Of course, efforts by both sides were essential to defeat Nazis and Japan, but lack of knowledge on the struggle of red army prohibited the Japanese from the accurate historical facts.
